Patrick J. Flynn, M.D.
Patrick Flynn, MD is the Director of Research
at Minnesota Oncology Hematology, PA. located in Minneapolis,
Minnesota. He servers as Adjunct Associate Professor of
Medicine at the University of Minnesota and is Medical Director
of the Autologous Bone Marrow and Stem Cell Transplant Center at
Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. He is the
Principal Investigator of Metro Minnesota Community Cooperative
Oncology Program (MMCCOP) that provides community access to the
newest therapy available for cancer treatment, symptom
management and cancer prevention. MMCCOP has been
nationally recognized for the program's community support and
achievements in cancer research.
Dr. Flynn received his medical degree at the University of
Minnesota Medical School, Minneapolis, MN. He is Board
Certified in Hematology, Oncology and Internal Medicine.
He is a member of Abbott Northwestern Cancer Committee, American
Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), American Society of
Hematology (ASH), American Cancer Society (ACS), Community
Clinical Oncology Program (CCOP), Hennepin County Medical Society, Minnesota
Medical Association (MMA), and Minnesota Society of Clinical
Oncology. Dr. Flynn is a member of the Eastern Cooperative
Oncology Group (ECOG) and servers as the Co-Chair of the
Community Cancer Committee and the Gastrointestinal Committee.
Among other distinctions, Dr. Flynn is a NCI sponsored Principal
Investigator and has co-authored many research studies published
in professional journals such as Journal of Clinical Oncology,
Journal of Thoracic Oncology and Journal of Palliative
Medicine.
