PrECOG, LLC develops and leads research that provides new hope for patients with cancer and their families. This is accomplished through innovation and collaboration with physician research leaders, research groups, and industry partners. Our goal is to design, implement, and publish results for clinical trials that support the ever-evolving needs of patients and our underlying knowledge of cancer diseases.
PrECOG is a cancer research group formed as a not-for-profit limited liability company in 2006 by the ECOG Research and Education Foundation, Inc. A central focus of PrECOG is to support the overall purpose of the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group: to achieve research advances in all aspects of cancer care, reduce the burden of cancer, and improve the quality of life and survival of patients with cancer.
PrECOG is funded entirely outside of the public health system, and uses an operational structure separate from the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group for all facets of clinical trial management. PrECOG is governed by a Board of Managers that oversees all aspects of clinical trial activities.
While PrECOG typically is the regulatory sponsor for our clinical trials, PrECOG also enters into research collaborations (e.g., cancer research groups or industry partners) in shared or transferred research responsibilities where needed and to facilitate areas of expertise. Our work is governed by Standard Operating Procedures aligned and compliant with FDA regulations and ICH/GCP guidelines.
